Resaca carries a lot of history for a small town. Cool Mountain Air brings honest, family-owned heating and cooling service to its homes along the Oostanaula.
Resaca began as a railroad stop called Dublin in 1848 and took its current name from the Mexican War battle of Resaca de la Palma. It sits on the Oostanaula River in northern Gordon County, and in May 1864 the Battle of Resaca was fought in the fields around town. Resaca Confederate Cemetery, dedicated in 1866, was the first Confederate cemetery in Georgia, and reenactors still return each May. Cool Mountain Air serves Resaca from our home base in Adairsville, a short way south on I-75.
We're a family-owned company that has served Northwest Georgia since 1991. When you call, you reach Mike Swiger, the owner, who diagnoses the real problem and gives an up-front price before work begins. We handle AC repair on all makes and models, furnace and heat pump service, Rheem installations sized with a load calculation, and plumbing such as water heaters and gas lines for country homes.
Resaca mixes older farmhouses with newer homes on larger lots, and the river bottoms around town hold summer humidity that keeps air conditioners running hard. Winter cold snaps then lean on furnaces and heat pumps. Our technicians are licensed, background-checked and drug-free, and we offer 24/7 emergency service when something fails at the worst time. Call Mike at 706-331-0939.

Our customers keep pointing to the same things: honest answers, fair prices and work done right. Here's what a few of them have to say about Cool Mountain Air.
"Mike Swiger is an expert HVAC engineer. I hired him to install a smart thermostat but during installation, he found a completely different issue with my HVAC and fixed it for a very reasonable rate. It was scary because I had not even lived in this house for a month and was worried that I would have to get a whole new system. He's very knowledgeable and explains everything going on with the system and how he fixed it in a way that I could easily understand. I highly recommend Cool Mountain Air to anyone for their heating and cooling needs for their home."
