From farmhouses along Armuchee Creek to newer homes off U.S. 27, Cool Mountain Air keeps north Floyd County comfortable through hot summers and chilly valley mornings.
Head north of Rome on U.S. 27 and you'll reach Armuchee, an unincorporated community named for Armuchee Creek, a Cherokee-named tributary of the Oostanaula River. The Armuchee post office dates to 1837, and the area still feels rooted in ridge-and-valley country, with farmland, wooded hillsides, Armuchee High School, the Richard B. Russell Airport and the Arrowhead Wildlife Management Area off Floyd Springs Road. From our base in Adairsville, Cool Mountain Air serves Armuchee with the same family-owned care we've offered since 1991.
Homes around Armuchee range from older farmhouses to newer builds along the highway, and each has its own needs. Older houses often need ductwork repaired or redesigned so air actually reaches the rooms that need it, while newer homes benefit from Rheem air conditioners and heat pumps chosen with a real load calculation. When you call, Mike Swiger, the owner, picks up, tracks down the real problem and gives you an up-front price first.
Creek bottoms and valleys can hold humidity through the summer and cold air on winter mornings, so air conditioners and furnaces both put in long hours here. Pollen and dust from fields and woods add to the load, which makes filtration and indoor air quality upgrades worth a look. We repair all makes and models, provide 24/7 emergency service and handle water heaters and plumbing too. Call Mike at 706-331-0939 for help in Armuchee.

Our customers keep pointing to the same things: honest answers, fair prices and work done right. Here's what a few of them have to say about Cool Mountain Air.
"Cool mountain air completed a full swap to an updated unit. To include modifying my duct Work, adding an intake vent and repairing a large amount of what remained. Their work is unmatched and top notch! They are a small family owned company that treats you fair and are upfront and honest. They will do what you ask and not try to push products on you. My new unit works flawlessly and is almost silent compared to what I had. Could not be happier and would highly recommend this company. Don't hesitate and make the call!"
