From mill village houses in the shadow of the old Pepperell smokestacks to newer homes at the edge of Rome, Cool Mountain Air keeps Lindale comfortable all year.
Ask around southeastern Floyd County about Lindale and you'll probably hear the word "Pepperell." This unincorporated community just south of Rome grew up around the Lindale Mill, opened by Massachusetts Cotton Mills in 1896 and owned by Pepperell for most of the 20th century. The mill closed in 2001, but its smokestacks still hold the wooden Christmas star that residents have hung there since the Great Depression, and the local schools still carry the Pepperell name. Cool Mountain Air serves Lindale from our base in Adairsville, as a family-owned company since 1991.
Many Lindale homes began as mill village houses, and their compact rooms, low ceilings and tight crawl spaces leave little room for full-size ductwork. That's where our high-velocity small-duct systems earn their place, threading through existing walls with very little disruption. Few HVAC contractors will touch them; we install and repair them regularly. Ductless mini-splits are another smart fit for additions and stubborn back rooms. When you call, you reach Mike Swiger, the owner, who finds the real problem and gives you an up-front price before work begins.
Older houses tend to leak air, so Georgia's sticky summers and sudden winter cold snaps hit them harder than most. A properly sized system, sealed ductwork and a tune-up before each season go a long way. Our licensed, background-checked and drug-free technicians repair all makes and models, install Rheem equipment and offer 24/7 emergency service. Call Mike at 706-331-0939 for honest heating and air work in Lindale.
Whether your Lindale home needs a small-duct retrofit, a furnace repair or a new water heater, here's everything we bring to the community.

Our customers keep pointing to the same things: honest answers, fair prices and work done right. Here's what a few of them have to say about Cool Mountain Air.
"Cool mountain air completed a full swap to an updated unit. To include modifying my duct Work, adding an intake vent and repairing a large amount of what remained. Their work is unmatched and top notch! They are a small family owned company that treats you fair and are upfront and honest. They will do what you ask and not try to push products on you. My new unit works flawlessly and is almost silent compared to what I had. Could not be happier and would highly recommend this company. Don't hesitate and make the call!"
