Aragon is a small mill city with deep Polk County roots. Cool Mountain Air keeps its homes comfortable with honest, family-owned heating and cooling service.
Aragon took its name from the aragonite found in the local ground, and it grew up around the Aragon Mill, a textile operation that shaped the town for generations. Incorporated in 1914, this small Polk County city still has the close-knit feel of a mill community, with modest homes on quiet streets. Cool Mountain Air serves Aragon from our base in Adairsville, and we've been helping Northwest Georgia families since 1991.
When you call, you talk to Mike Swiger, the owner. He tracks down the real problem, explains it in plain English and gives you an up-front price before work begins. For Aragon's older homes, that often means high-velocity or ductless mini-split systems that add central-quality comfort without bulky ductwork. Few HVAC contractors work on high-velocity systems, and we're one of them. We also repair all makes and models and handle water heaters and gas lines.
Mill-era houses often run hot upstairs in summer and drafty in winter, and Polk County's humid summers and cold snaps make that worse. A properly sized Rheem system and a twice-a-year tune-up go a long way. Our licensed, background-checked technicians also offer 24/7 emergency service. Call Mike at 706-331-0939.
Here's everything Cool Mountain Air offers Aragon homeowners, from AC and furnace repair to small-duct systems and plumbing.
Honest AC repair on all makes and models, plus Rheem systems up to 20 SEER sized with a load calculation.
Gas and electric furnace repair and replacement, with gas connections handled in-house.
Heat pump repair and installation, plus ductless mini-splits for additions, garages and problem rooms.
Central air through small, flexible ducts for older homes, a specialty few contractors offer.

Our customers keep pointing to the same things: honest answers, fair prices and work done right. Here's what a few of them have to say about Cool Mountain Air.
"Cool mountain air completed a full swap to an updated unit. To include modifying my duct Work, adding an intake vent and repairing a large amount of what remained. Their work is unmatched and top notch! They are a small family owned company that treats you fair and are upfront and honest. They will do what you ask and not try to push products on you. My new unit works flawlessly and is almost silent compared to what I had. Could not be happier and would highly recommend this company. Don't hesitate and make the call!"
